They are very small when they are born, weighing on average of just a couple pounds at birth. Liters average between three and six dogs and females may need a cesarean to deliver. These dogs are wonderful with children, adults, and the elderly.

This breed of dog is full of energy and loves attention. They have large round eyes, erect ears, tails that are docked, and short muzzles. Once full grown they stand about 15-24 inches and weigh on average of 15-25 pounds, but can be slightly smaller or larger. Many boston terrier puppy pictures are later compared to the grown dog.
